Mark Manley's first solo release.  An amazing mix of Funk, Rock, Jazz, and Flamenco-- with lyrics that actually mean something.   And the bass playing?   Second to none.

When Vincent Casablanca's wife is killed in a car accident, Vincent remains strong, raising their two children by himself.  But when home invaders break in, and Audrey and Rudy wind up dead-- Rudy accidentally by Vincent's own hand-- Vincent finds himself no longer able to cope.

In his grief he looks for somewhere to place the blame and decides that the person who deserves to pay is the insurance adjustor who manipulated him into signing away his family's rights to the compensation due them when his wife was killed in the accident.

Vincent turns to his longtime friend, Foam, an ex-mercenary turned seminar mogul/cult leader, for help in tracking down the insurance adjustor, one Jesse Ellis, now a private investigator.  Vincent's judgment is severe, and the penalty paid by Jesse Ellis is so heinous that it makes national headlines.

The city's politicians go to war with one another, each determined to be the one hit by the Glory Stick of the national media, and an all-star task force is assembled to hunt the monster who perpetrated the crime.  Among its members are Chief of Detectives of the Homicide Division, Dr. Adams Grant; Rinaldo Cortazar, head of the Violent Crimes Division; lean, lovely and learned Assistant District Attorney Ruth Lymon; and the beautiful and mysterious private investigator, DeAnn Collins-- a veteran of a three-letter agency so highly classified that even its initials are unknown to most.

Vincent, having exorcised his demons, has made a sort of peace with himself-- and, he has fallen in love with a woman from his past-- talented and sexy night club singer, Rina Clarens.  He thinks that justice has been done and that the incident is behind them.  He is blissfully unaware of the forces that have come together for the sole purpose of hunting him down.

But Vincent's friends, led by Foam, see the world much more clearly, and are determined to protect him.
